Bethany graduated with high honors from theUniversity of St. Augustine with herMasters in Occupational Therapy in August 2018. Previous to that she graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Studies.
Bethany has been working in the pediatric setting since graduation in both home health pediatrics and outpatient pediatrics. She has developed excellent skills in the areas of evaluation, individualized interventions, and development of home programs for her patients. Her specialties include children with sensory processing difficulties, fine motor difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, anxiety disorders, visual deficits, and developmental delays.
Bethanyis highly trained in treatment methods including the Wilbarger Brushing Protocol, The Listening Program, Interactive Metronome, and Handwriting Without Tears. Her focus as a Pediatric OT is designing treatment plans involving sensory integration and biomechanical approaches with child and family centered goals while using a play-based approach to improve each child’s occupational needs.
Outside of work, Bethany loves spending time with her husband and two dogs, being outdoors, running, fishing, painting and volunteers with the children’s ministry at Gracepoint Church in Coppell, TX.
