Dr. Sarah Elbell

Dr. Sarah Elbell, PT, DPT


 Sarah has over 27 years of experience as a physical therapist. She has specialized in pediatrics for over 23 years, providing physical therapy to children of all ages and abilities in various settings, including early childhood intervention, pediatric homecare, schools, and hospital outpatient.Sarah received her Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. While working full-time, she obtained her post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Rutgers University,graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Sarah served as the Pediatric Department Supervisor at two major healthcare systems in New Jersey, including one where she assisted in developing the Pediatric PT and OT Program. In addition, she taught Pediatric Neuromuscular Laboratory as an Adjunct Professor at SAGE Colleges Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and has given workshops to early childhood and pediatric therapy providers.

To provide the highest quality of care to the children she works with, Sarah has taken numerous continuing education and training courses such as Baby NDT Treatment, Total Motion Release for TOTS, Kinesiotaping, Torticollis, Mary Massery’s If You Can’t Breathe, You Can’t Function, Beverly Cusick’s Courses, Sensory Integration, and Wheelchair Assessment Courses to name a few. Sarah is also an Infant Massage Instructor, Children’s Yoga Instructorand holds certificates in Basic and Advanced Level 1 Yoga for Special Child™ by Sonia Sumar and Get Ready to Learn Yoga©. From her passion in pediatric physical therapy and children’s wellness, she developed the SMARTY ‘kins Program where she uses a sensorimotor approach to teaching baby massage and kids’ yoga classes. She will be bringing this program to SST in the near future!

When she is not working, Sarah loves to cook, bake, and volunteer at her son’s school and community outreach programs. She and her family love to travel, ski, hike, and play board games.
